Sometimes it's hard to know who to call when you have questions or concerns about the school or your child. If your concern is about a specific teacher or class, it's generally best to start by contacting the teacher. • Parents number one digital app to view current student grades, attendance and easy messaging of classroom teachers.

• In order to access current grades, parents will have to create their own AERIES account in order to register their child in WJUSD. The District office will contact parents either by personal email or by mail with login instructions. 

• Parents can also go into the Main office and request the login information in person, Login information cannot be released via the phone.

• Parents will also update their AERIES account each year as part of the student registration process

WJUSD has replaced the Blackboard messaging system with Parentsquare. Parents can create a free account and can adjust the methods in which they recieve messages from WJUSD, PHS and individual classroom teachers. 

If you change your phone number, you must contact the Registrar's office so your information is up to date. Otherwise you will not be able to receive Parentsquare messages. 

• Students can access assignments via their Canvas portal

• Parents can view student assignments by creating an "Observer" account in Canvas. 

• Canvas gradebooks are the "day to day" gradebooks for the classroom, while AERIES gradebooks are the official gracebooks for progress reports and report cards. Teachers use the Canvas gradebooks to recieve, grade and record assignments and then "sync" scores to the official AERIES gradebooks.  Because they are the "day to day" gradebooks, Canvas gradebook scores may vary compared to the AERIES gradebooks.
