Despite what you may have heard, MLA is not the only game in town when it comes to writing styles. MLA is primarily used in English classes. But other subjects have their own styles of writing. The default style at Pioneer High School is MLA format.
APA Style
(American Psychological Association) style is most commonly used to cite sources within the Sciences, although it is also now being used in the Social Sciences.

Chicago Style
The notes and bibliography style is preferred by many in the humanities, including those in literature, history, and the arts.
